staying grateful : happy monday

I hope that whether you have the day off for Columbus Day or just have a regular Monday, you have a day that feels like this:

This, like most of my favorite pictures, was an accidental click of the shutter. But I LOVE the moment it captured - pure joy wrapped up in a father's loving embrace. 

How deep the Father's love for us, how vast beyond all measure
That he should give his only son, to make a wretch his treasure
How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turned his face away
As wounds which mar the chosen one, bring many sons to glory
